1. What are the requirements for building permit?

● The applicant shall file an application therefor in writing and on the prescribed
form from the Office of the Building Official. Every application shall provide at
least the following information:

 A description of the work to be covered by the permit applied for


 Certified true copy of the TCT covering the lot on which the proposed
work is to be done. If the applicant is not the registered owner, in
addition to the TCT, a copy of the contract of lease shall be submitted
 The use or occupancy for which the proposal work is intended
 Estimated cost of the proposed work.
To be submitted together with such application are at least five sets of
corresponding plans and specifications prepared, signed, and sealed by
a duly registered mechanical engineer in case of mechanical plans, and
by a registered electrical engineer in case of electrical plans, except in
those cases exempted or not required by the Building Official under this
Code
2. What is the purpose of building permit?

Building Permit is a document. 

9. What building types are exempted from payment of building permit?

● The cost of obtaining a construction permit, having a building inspected, and


paying any additional costs must not apply to publicly owned structures.

10.What happened if there is no building permit?

● If someone is detected constructing a home without a building permission, the


authorities will require them to cease the work until their building permit is
obtained. You are also going to be obliged to pay a penalty for disobeying the
regulations.

11.Do you need building permit for painting?

● In the United States of America, the painting of a private house does not need
approval from any government agency. Certain housing projects include
restrictions, bans, and limitations pertaining to the painting systems that
residents are obliged to use. It is highly recommended that one review the laws
and restrictions that have been put into place by the community regarding
development projects in residential zones.
12.How will be the validity of building permit?

● If the building or work authorized in the permit is not started within one year
of the date that the permit was issued, or if the building or work authorized
therein is suspended or abandoned at any time after it has been started for a
period of 120 days, then the permit will expire and become null and void. This
is because the provisions of this Code state that the permit will expire and
become null and void.
