Unit 6 - Task 7
Screw Fasten or tighten with a short, slender, sharp-pointed metal pin with a
raised helical thread running around it and a slotted head, used to join
things together by being rotated.
Solder Joined with a low-melting alloy, especially one based on lead and tin
or (for higher temperatures) on brass or silver, used for joining less
fusible metals, like bismuth.
Attach To add, affix, annex, bind, fasten, or join as a part. Attach is defined as
to make something stick or physically connect to something else.
Glue fasten or join with or as if with glue, used especially for paper, fabric,
ruber, wood or cardboard.
Rivet Fasten with a rivet, which consists of a smooth cylindrical shaft with
a head on one end. The end opposite to the head is called the tail.
Weld to join two pieces of metal together permanently by melting the parts
that touch.
Braze form, fix, or join by soldering with an alloy of copper and zinc at high
temperature.
