Purity [Lintking's!]
Purity is primarily related to the two Greater Powers, Logrus and Pattern. There
are legends of Trump Purists, and records of what have been called Lessi Purists,
though the Shapeshifting Purity is constitutively different from the Power-based
Purities.

Pattern Purity has been the most explored. (Thanks go to Fi and Brand for this.) It
gives a significant bonus to one's Pattern and all applications thereof; a Purist's
Pattern is simply stronger than others. The bonus is similar to, though not quite
as strong as, the advantage of Pattern-energy over Shadow-based energies such as
Sourcery. It can be resisted, but such would require a clear supporting advantage
(such as an exceptionally high Psyche.) Shadowfolk virtually CANNOT resist Purity,
while Real folk are at a disadvantage. (In my world [Lintking's] the different
levels of Pattern have different strengths; Broken Patterns are significantly
weaker, while the Rebma/Amber/Tir trio is stronger, and then the Primal Pattern the
strongest. Purists will actually rank slightly over a non-Purist with a Primal
imprint, and therefore noticably over a non-Purist with a basic imprint. Broken
Imprints are even weaker against Purity than normal Shadow, and contact of a BPI
with a Purist has the potential to remove the Broken Imprint entirely.)

On a secondary level, a properly anointed Purist will also have what is called an
Orientation; this can be virtually anything, and extends the Purity to a secondary
function. Our primary Purist, Dillon, for example, is a Sourcery Purist. His magic
is REAL, extending the same advantage against resistance that he has for his
Pattern, and bonuses to using it in (or even on) Amber. He can hang spells on his
Pattern (which will NOT decay), and his Conjurations don't break down. His
daughter, Aphrodite, has a more physically-oriented Purity. As her body is
invigorated with the energies, she is able to do 'perfect', or Pure, manoeuvres.
Due to her particular forming, this applies only to broad, almost gymnastic
patterns, from a perfect kick to, when her entire body is ready (at 25 points per
limb, including head and torso), the ability to blend them together for full
gymnastics routines. Her Pure actions have supernatural bonuses to speed, force,
and precision, depending on the exact move and the needs of the moment.

Finally, Pattern Purists has a variety of tertiary bonuses; their mind and body are
both very stable, giving them several advantages. Their Psyche will shine clear,
and they are incapable of madness. (This doesn't preclude all insanities
necessarily - an obsessive compulsive disorder might make Perfect sense. But
anything...chaotic is out.) They're virtually immune to shapeshifting, by any
means, (whether the direct Shapeshift Other power, or Logrus warpnd, or Sourcerous
polymorphing, or item-originated forms...what have you) whether they like it or
not. Toucing them with a Logrus tendril is almost as bad as touching the Pattern
itself, while they're protected from the reciprocal effects (they'll feel it, but
not as badly as the Logrus Master.) On both the mental and physical levels, they're
strongly resistant to any and all invasive forces...spells, chemistry, what have
you. Even, in a sense, steel; you can still chop one up (or in the case of Liradia
against Dillon, chop one's knees off) but they do heal quickly (something between
Rapid Healing and full Regeneration, though closer to the former.) (It's also worth
noting that a Shapeshifter who successfully IMITATES a Purist will lose their
Shapeshifting ability, and it won't be easy to get it back. Purity itself cannot be
so imitated.

Point-cose, as with so many of the really 'neat' powers, is vague. Purity isn't
something that can be 'attained,' though there are rituals that can cleanse a non-
Purist to a lesser level.)

The exact effects of Logrus Purity haven't been explored, thoug it's known to allow
its use without Shapeshifting.
