democratic elections controlled
- Free of control by the government - Saw the policy as ‘doing the right

low, however unemployment & of the country
extreme poverty is rare - It is a one party dictatorship.
- Being free of control by the Elections were held, but all
government is more important that candidates belonged to the
everyone being equal Communist Party.
- Wealthy country but with extremes - The rights of the individuals were
of great wealth & poverty seen as less important than the good
- Saw the policy as ‘doing the right of society as a whole

industry

Explain in a paragraph the difference between Communism & Capitalism without using your
notes:
- Which is the better system of running a country?
- Why do you think this is?
Communism mainly focuses on the government being in power and controlling the people.
Most buildings and factories are owned by the government, and it is a one-party dictatorship.
Capitalism allowed people to have free rights and the government will be chosen by the
people through voting. I think Capitalism is a better system of running a country as everyone
gets their rights and it is a two-way dictatorship, where both parties gets to contribute and
choose.
Soviet Union USA & Britain
Politics Single-party rule Free elections with a choice of
parties
Social Classless society, everyone is equal Some people have more power than
structure others (because of family
background, wealth, education, or
achievements)
Economy All property owned by the state, not Private ownership & a competitive
individuals workplace
Rights Rights of all workers more Individual freedoms valued but
important than individual rights limited by majority opinion.
