Activity

aspects of Shintoism and Buddhism, for the first
day of the assignment, the students will be
required to watch 2 of the following videos and
take note of some defining points of that

2. After watching the video as a class, some
students can watch the video on their own to
take more notes on what they missed about the
topic while teacher hosts discussion to get a
gasp of students’ understanding of the two
religions.
3. Probably on the second day of the assignment
to fourth day, to apply their understanding of
what they learned, students will either work
individually (given students the option to work
as an individual) or as a group with peers to
construct slides using the following
requirements:
a. First, administrate research on
Shintoism and Buddhism. Students
may only draw information from 5
sources:
i. 2-3 articles (could be scholarly,
articles or news articles)
ii. 2 videos (the ones we watched
in class)
iii. Non-copyrighted images to
decorate slides (at least 3 each
for Shinto and Buddhism
b. Second, while conducting research,
students are only required to
i. Take note of 4 similarities and
4 differences of the two
religions and explain them
ii. Make sure to cite all sources
they decide to use in their
slides with MLA citation
c. Third, once research is done, students
will be given a lesson on how to use
PowerPoint, Canva, and Loom
d. Fourth, after video, students will have
the choice to report their findings
