• Future Changes in the Admin Structure.
2. Please refer below Roles & Responsibilities of various posts
1. Assistant Prohibition & Excise Superintendent
▪ AES has less role now attached to AP State Excise Board.
▪ Less powers due tochange in the State Liquor policy(govt is
selling liquor directly)
▪ But though less powers some may have uniform affection-
they may choose
2. Commercial Tax officer
▪ CTO also attached to Joints commissioners & less powers in
view of GST
▪ Registrations are also moving to Sachivalayams
3. CTO and Municipal Commissioners, Cooperatives Registrar have
more chance of IAS conferment.
4. District fire officer (DFO)
▪ DFO is one of the most powerful posts - Which many dont
know.
▪ He has authority on every Pvt infra from apartments to
theatres to schools to function halls.
5. BC and Tribal welfare officers:
▪ have scope the Serve the needy, but no budget allocations.
▪ But has powers and Social Status.

6. ASSISTANT TREASURY OFFICER(ATO)
▪ basic pay 54060 when posted in treasuries you will be
designated as assistant treasury officer.
▪ when posted in accounts branch - assistant accounts officer.
▪ when posted in finance branch - assistant finance officer.
▪ promotion channel: assistant treasury officer / assistant
accounts officer / assistant finance officer> district treasury
and accounts officer/ accounts officer / finance officer (basic
61960) - usually in less than 6 years> deputy director/ chief
accounts officer/ chief finance officer- usually in less than 6
years> joint director> additional director> director (becomes
director of treasuries and accounts in his ultimate years)
Positives:
▪ watchdogs of the state exchequer prevent misuse of public
money by proper auditing before disbursal...
▪ has wide opportunities apart from treasuries one can work in
any department or universities, can bring a change in the lives
of pensioners.
▪ comparatively less social pressure...
7. Administrative officer (AO)
▪ Earlier know as lay secretary and treasury officer.
▪ Associated HoD in HMFW: public health , medical education ,
family welfare , Ayush , Aromatic plant board ., Medical
infrastructure, preventive medicine ., National health
mission., Vaidya Vidhan parishad , Ysr health university, Drug
control Authority .
▪ Promotion channel: AO > AD > DD > JD > Add.D
Positives:
▪ 1st promotion in 3 years, later stagnant
▪ 4-5 hrs /day, good time for further preparation
▪ Fine balance with professional and Personal life and Job
satisfaction
