The details of our safety system

Our safety system includes a harness, body armor, and airbag. The safety system is

realistic and applicable. I believe our safety system demonstrates Newton's first and second law

of motion. Newton's first law of motion states that an object at rest stays at rest unless acted upon

by a net force; furthermore, the inverse is true. Newton's second law claims that an object acted

upon by an unbalanced force will accelerate in the direction of the unbalanced force. Our system

design reduces the overall momentum to prevent the egg from cracking. Kinetic energy and work

are omnipresent.

I will first be covering Newton's first thesis of motion. The principle states that an object

in motion or rest will remain unless acted by an external/net force. Newton's first law applies to

our safety design as the moving vehicle was put to rest by our contraption. Our vehicle is the net

force that causes the stoppage of the moving vehicle. Now, I will be covering what force and

work are. Force is the interaction between two objects and results in the acceleration of both or

either thing. Pressure is force per area. By using ribbons to strap our egg, we effectively lower

the amount of pressure and force. The ribbon spreads the amount of force around the egg rather

than a centralized point. It is important to note that the distribution of force is balanced. By

wrapping our egg in bubble wrap and encasing the egg, we distribute the force around. Pressure

determines how much damage our contraption does to the egg. When pressure is involved, the

force remains the same. What does this tell us about our safety system?

Newton's second principle of motion states that an object acted upon by an unbalanced

force will accelerate in the direction of the unbalanced force. Two scenarios demonstrate his

second law of motion. First, a moving car hits our contraption at rest. Secondly, a moving object

and our design collide at the same speed. In the first scenario, the moving vehicle is the

unbalanced force that causes our car to accelerate. The power generated by the collision

accelerated our car by 40 cm in 0.4 seconds. Momentum correlates with Newton's second law of

motion. Assuming our egg had a mass of 60 grams and a velocity of 10. The formula is p= m*V.

The momentum of the egg is 600 or 600 g/v. Our vehicle accelerated ten times more than it

started. The unbalanced force(heavy vehicle) causes our contraption to accelerate tenfold.

In conclusion, both of Newton's laws apply to our safety system. The first principle is

when the opposing vehicle forces our car from rest to motion. It is the net force that changes the

equation. Our egg suffered no damage because the ribbons lowered the amount of pressure. We

had three sources of protection that reduced the strength to safe amounts. The second principle of

Newton's law states that an unbalanced force accelerates a balanced object. His law is proven

true by the prospects of our experiment. The heavier car caused our vehicle to accelerate by six

hundredfold. Unbalanced forces tend to accelerate balanced masses.
