Solar Energy:

The sun gives off a lot of energy into space as light and heat, which can
be captured to produce electricity. Photovoltaic cells on solar panels
converts the light energy into electricity. The light from sun can also be
used to warm water passing through black pipes.

Advantages:
 It is a renewable source of energy
 It does not use any fuels
 It is ecofriendly and does not cause pollution

Disadvantages:
 Only works on sunny days, does not work when its cloudy or rainy
 It only works in the daytime
 It is inefficient as most of the energy captured is wasted
 Solar panels are expensive and bulky to install
Tidal Energy:

Tidal energy is produced by converting energy from tides into electricity

using various methods. It works by a turbine, with blades rotating 12-18
times, depending on the tide’s strength. The turbine is connected to a
gearbox that turns a generator, creating electricity. Although it is not
widely used, it has the potential to be developed.

Advantages:
 No fuel required for operation
 No harmful gases are produced during the process
 It has high efficiency
 It is ecofriendly, and does not cause pollution

Disadvantages:
 Works only at specific times of the day
 It is very expensive to construct and maintain
 The turbines can cause harm to the marine life
 It can only be built at certain locations
