Question 2
Cost information from eight previously completed parking garage projects are given in table ( Q.1A )
. Time & location indices are given in tables ( Q.1B ) & ( Q.1C ) respectively. All the projects given
in table ( Q.1A ) were completed 2 years ago in city ( A ). A proposed similar type project, for 155
cars, is to be constructed in the current year in city ( C ). Estimate the total cost of this proposed
project.
Table ( Q.1A ) "Cost information for parking garages"

Question 3

Table ( Q.2 ) shows the 10 cost elements of an estimate for a construction project together
with the estimated construction cost for each element. It also shows the maximum cost, &
the percentage probability that this maximum cost would occur for each element.

a) Use the expected net risk analysis method to determine the amount of contingency
that should be added to the total cost estimate.
b) Calculate the percentage that should be added to the total cost estimate to cover
for contingency.
c) If contingency will be distributed uniformly, calculate the final cost estimate for
each cost element & the final total cost estimate for the project.
