The company was established in 2005 to engage in different business lines such import, export
and transport businesses. In the export business it has been exporting pulses, oil seeds, coffee
and spices to the international market and able to generate considerable foreign exchange to
the country for more than a decade. Soreti International Trading Company (SITCo) is a for-profit
making company with focus on community support in different ways such as providing inputs,
creating market access for smallholder farmers of crops and creating employment opportunity
for women and youth. Currently the company is planning to establish Organic Food Park about
12 different types of food processing facilities/ projects to be established with focus on baby
food, cereals, coffee, oilseeds, pulses, spices, dairy and meat products, honey and other bee
products, fruits and vegetables, essential oils and animal feeds. The goal of intended project is
to establish an integrated and multiple organic food manufacturing factories for local and
international markets by sourcing and supporting smallholder organic farming in Ethiopia.

• Design, and conduct research, feasibility study and develop innovative agribusiness
investment projects for the company
• Coordinate activities, resources, equipment and information
• Liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives
• .Make certain that clients’ needs are met as the project evolves
• Help prepare project proposals, timeframes, schedule and budget
• Manage, control and coordinate project schedule & implementation to make sure the
project to be completed on time

I have led research and development projects for Oromia Agricultural Research Institute (OARI),
a range NGOs and private companies plus international development agencies like EU, USAID,
GIZ and IGAD, combining a practical and hands-on approach with a vast knowledge of
agriculture, gender and development issues.

diplomacy course (maximum 300 words): *
During my research and advisory services in projects related to empowerment of women and
youth for GOs, NGOs and private agri-business companies, I have found out myself the need to
improve my knowledge and skills in holistic systems analysis and decision analysis for better
designing impactful project interventions to address the policy issues of access, adopt and
benefit for women and men as well as to reduce internal dispalcement and migration young
and shool drop-out girls.
