I. Introduction

The subject of our study is Tik Tok Credibility, which has both good and negative effects. Students should

understand how TikTok affects everyone, as we desire. TikTok becomes popular especially to kids and students that

may actually harm them because of strangers, risk challenges and sharing of personal data. Others may find it

entertaining and educational in the form of other content creators using the TikTok platform to educate students

and kids. Yet, we conducted a survey of all Senior High students in the 11th Grade to ascertain whether they

concurred with our statements. The survey or questionnaire will serve as our tool to gather data. The gathered data

will help the researchers to plan and conduct upright output.

creator or influencer?

10.)All information on tik tok is

credible.
III. Statistical Tool

A weighted mean is a statistical measure that assigns numerical weights to each data point in a dataset, based

on its relevance or significance, and calculates the sum of the products of each weight and its corresponding value.

This feature sets it apart from the arithmetic mean, which treats all values equally. This technique is especially useful

when calculating theoretically expected outcomes in scenarios where each event has a unique likelihood of

occurring. To derive a weighted mean, one multiplies the weight associated with a specific event or outcome by its

corresponding quantitative outcome and then adds up all the products.

Where:

● ∑ = summation

● w = the weights

● x = the value

IV. Result

To find out the perception of Tik Tok's Credibility among Grade 11 students at Calamba Institute. A

survey-questionnaire was disseminated and used to elicit responses regarding Tik Tok's safety and entertainment

value. The respondents of the study were prompted to evaluate the platform's credibility, taking into account

various factors.
The researchers of the study used the Likert Scale as their primary data collection tool for the study's

questionnaire due to its accuracy and effectiveness in analyzing the perception of the respondents. To analyze the

responses collected via the Likert Scale, the weighted average is computed, assigning a value of 4 to "strongly agree" and

a value of 1 to "strongly disagree" (refer to Table 1.1). The weighted averages gave the researchers a thorough

understanding of the respondents’ perception and choice towards Tiktok’s credibility, which allowed the researchers

to precisely quantify the perceptions expressed by Grade 11 students of Calamba Institute. Based on their study’s

findings, the researchers of the study were able to make accurate conclusions and observations in utilizing the data

from the weighted averages.

The process utilized by the researchers involved the multiplication of the numerical values of the data set by

the assigned weights, and subsequently added the resultant products to derive the weighted mean for each value. It

is noteworthy that the said survey was administered to a cohort of 30 individuals who were attending the senior high

school program at the prestigious Calamba Institute. Upon gathering and collating the data, the researchers

diligently compiled a comprehensive set of findings that were then subjected to thorough interpretation and

analysis.

The Visual Representation above, Table 1.2, presents a comprehensive depiction of the responses received from

the participants in relation to their inclination towards the academic ranking system and their encouragement for the

school to persist in its implementation.

Based on the initial inquiry, none of the participants opted for the response category 'Strongly Agree', resulting

in a weighted mean of 0.0 for the first question. Instead, 8 participants selected the response option 'Agree', followed by

14 participants selecting 'Disagree', and finally, 8 participants choosing 'Strongly Disagree'. The resulting weighted mean

for the first question was 3.00, indicating agreement in the result interpretation.

Moving on to the second question, 4 respondents strongly agreed, while 8 respondents agreed, and 13

respondents disagreed, with 5 participants strongly disagreeing. The resulting weighted mean for the second question was

2.63, indicating agreement in the result interpretation.

For the third question, 2 respondents strongly agreed, and 4 respondents agreed, while 16 respondents disagreed,

and 8 respondents strongly disagreed. The resulting weighted mean for the third question was 3.00, indicating agreement

in the result interpretation.

Regarding the fourth question, 2 participants strongly agreed, and 8 participants agreed, while 14 participants

disagreed, and 6 participants strongly disagreed. The resulting weighted mean for the fourth question was 2.80,

indicating agreement in the result interpretation.

Similarly, for the fifth question, 2 participants strongly agreed, and 9 participants agreed, while 12 participants

disagreed, and 7 participants strongly disagreed. The resulting weighted mean for the fifth question was 2.80, indicating

agreement in the result interpretation.

Concerning the sixth question, 3 participants strongly agreed, and 6 participants agreed, while 15 participants

disagreed, and 6 participants strongly disagreed. The resulting weighted mean for the sixth question was 2.80, indicating

agreement in the result interpretation.

Moving on to the seventh question, 3 participants strongly agreed, and 16 participants agreed, while 7

participants disagreed, and 4 participants strongly disagreed. The resulting weighted mean for the seventh question was

2.40, indicating disagreement in the result interpretation.

Regarding the eighth question, 8 participants strongly agreed, and 11 participants agreed, while 4 participants

disagreed, and 7 participants strongly disagreed. The resulting weighted mean for the eighth question was 2.33,

indicating disagreement in the result interpretation.

For the ninth question, 5 participants strongly agreed, and 8 participants agreed, while 8 participants disagreed,

and 9 participants strongly disagreed. The resulting weighted mean for the ninth question was 2.70, indicating agreement

in the result interpretation.

Finally, for the tenth and last question, none of the participants selected the response option 'Strongly Agree',

while 6 participants agreed, and 14 participants disagreed, with 10 participants strongly disagreeing. The resulting

weighted mean for the last question was 3.13, indicating a strong disagreement in the result interpretation.
V. Conclusion

When estimating theoretically expected results in situations where each event has a distinct possibility of

happening, this technique is extremely helpful. To create a weighted mean, multiply the weight attached to a particular

event or result by the corresponding quantitative result, then add up all the products. to ascertain how Calamba Institute

Grade 11 pupils feel about Tik Tok's credibility. The study's participants were asked to assess the platform's credibility

while taking a number of elements into account. Due to the Likert Scale's precision and efficiency in examining

respondents' perceptions, the researchers of the study utilized it as their main method for collecting data for the study's

questionnaire.

As the result of the survey that has been conducted about tiktok and its positive and negative and negative effect

on two students the following questions results show the votes of the students . For number one question majority of the

student vote disagree it has 14 votes and results 3.00 on weighted mean. As for number two,the students vote 13 disagree

which makes it the most number of votes and has a result of 2.63 in weighted mean. As well as for number three, the

number of disagree votes is 16 and it has the most votes and has a weighted mean of 3.00. For question number four , 14

students voted to disagree and had the weighted mean of 2.8. For the result of question number five, 12 students voted

disagree and had a weighted mean of 2.80. For question six, 15 students voted disagree and had a weighted mean of 2.80.

Moving on to question number seven, here 16 students vote and have a weighted mean of 2.40. As for question number

eight, 11 students vote and have 2.33 weighted mean. Moving on to number nine, nine students both strongly disagree

and results weighted mean of 2.70. And finally for the 10th question, students vote 14 4 disagree and have a weighted

mean of 3.13.

Here you can see that we indicate the most number of answers or the most votes of the students and their insight

in the tiktok app. We also include the results of their weighted mean.
