application on today’s situation (Covid 19 pandemic).
• Philip Crosby
o For us to prevent the increasing number of covid cases here in the Philippines,
we need to come up to a solution to prevent the spreading of Covid 19. We
need to set our goal that someday it the number of daily cases will be zero
and it will stay that way. (Quality prevention is preferable to quality
inspection, and Zero defects is the quality performance standard)
• Edwards Deming
o For the government to execute effective contract tracing, all of the
government departments should work together for them to tackle the
problem and come up with a solution that they are encountering. If all of
them will work together every department will have their own role and it will
make contact tracing more effective (Break down Barriers)
• Armand Feigenbaum
o The people’s satisfaction about the solutions that the government is
conducting to prevent the spread of Covid 19 is very poor. For them to
improve the satisfaction of the Filipino people, the government should
appoint a good leader to plan, manage, and conduct the solutions that will
prevent the spread of Covid 19. The government should also think of possible
improvements of their plans to end this pandemic. The government should
also show to the people that they are committed to the plans that they are
conducting for the people to follow them.
• Kaoru Ishikawa
o Today, the Philippines is starting to recover from the problems that the
pandemic has given. Continuous improvement should be the main goal of our
government for us to slowly recover what we have lost and for our economic
state to become normal again. The government should know the cause and
effect of the projects that they have planned for our country, by knowing this
the possibility of negative impact of that project will be prevented. (Ishikawa’s
“continuous Improvement”)
• Joseph Juran
o At the start of the distribution of vaccines here in the Philippines, the
government is having a hard time in distributing the vaccine in the different
part of our country. For me, they should have followed Juran’s Quality trilogy
for them to solve the problem quickly. First, they should conduct quality
planning for them to plan out the proper distribution of the vaccines. Second,
they should monitor if the plan is working or not. if not, they should adjust
their plan to meet the goal they desire. Lastly, they should properly control
the distribution of the vaccines through proper projects (Juran’s Quality
trilogy)
