a Hook Experience

Lesson Overview: How do you anticipate the children will explore with the materials? What do you
think they will do?

Children will actively participate in the animal yoga. I think that the children will try to do all the yoga
poses.

Lesson Plan Objectives: what will the children be learning or gaining from this experience?

The children will be learning about the different types of animals and how they move.

Expected Outcomes: what do you anticipate the children will learn from this experience?

I think that the children will learn the difference between aquatic and land animals and how they move. I
also think that they will talk about these animals in future conversation/activities.

Assessment: what does this experience reveal about children’s prior knowledge?

This experience will reveal whether or not the children know the difference between land and aquatic
animals.
