Fourth CAT(Common Assessment Task)

Dear Parents,
At Scholastica Preparatory Primary Years, assessment plays an integral part of the curriculum where students
are exposed to logical and critical thinking. This assessment system helps the child to understand their own
caliber , thus enabling them to become better equipped with the knowledge and skills required to enhance their
learning outcomes.
We will be assessing your child in English, Mathematics,Science, ICT, Urdu, Islamiat/Nazra and
Waqfiyat-e-Aama. The weightage and distribution of marks over different dimensions of the subject shall be as
follows:
English and Urdu

Oracy Each term 2 Oracy Assessments will 10 marks (5 marks for each oracy)
be taken from general discussions in
the class based on student’s
participation
Day to Day Assessments Uninformed day to day assessments 20 marks
will be taken at the end of the
concept. Total 4 day to days will be
taken each term
CAT Two informed Assessments will be 20 marks ( 10 marks for each CAT)
taken each term based on multiple
concepts taught in the class. Parents
will be informed well before time to
prepare their child.

Mathematics

Mental Math Each term 2 Mental Math will be 10 marks (5 marks for each Mental
