Lesson Plan Exemplar in English I

I. OBJECTIVES
1. Infer the mood of a certain event/literary piece through the speaker’s words,
actions, intentions, or utterances.
2. Recognize that person’s words and actions have variation of meanings
through listening and observing.
3. Read the basic sight words and some function words presented in the
passage.
4. Recite the poems and sing the songs presented in the lesson.

 Checking of attendance
2. Motivation
Teacher: Today, we are going to sing a song entitled “Mr. Sun”
But let me ask you some questions first.
1. Where can we see the sun?
2. At what time of the day we can see the shining sun?
3. In daytime, can we always see the sun?
4. Why can’t we see the sun during night time?

Now, let us read the basic sight words for us to familiarize the lyrics of the
song:

hiding behind tree children
asking come out play please
