TAB Reaction

2/19/23

The TAB experience was fun to practice in class. It affected me by teaching me the skills

and then applying it to my art. I watched three YouTube videos on drawing and then put

what I learned to the test. It had an instant impact and I learned lots on value. TAB has

more strong points than down sides to me. The strong sides are that it grows and enhances

so much creativity, independence, and thinking. It is said to help behavior issues and help

students in the classroom. The only down fall I can think of is not having set rules for

students the projects might be above or below their skill level. Also, you need to make

assignments and activities open ended and leave the details to the students, which can be

challenging for teachers. Some educational theories of practices are behaviorism,

constructivism, and learning. We see behavior improve, students gaining knowledge, and

students learning new skills. This centers a student centered model approach and gives the

students choice and freedom.
