3. Unfortunately, they didn't train well. That's why they lost the match.

Second Conditional ‫الجملة الشرطية الثانية‬


* We use this conditional to talk about actions that are impossible to
happen now.

If + past simple tense, subject + would + infinitive.

‫انشاء االول الوحدة الخامسة ‪Sports have Many Benefits‬‬


‫‪Doctors say sport has many health benefits. It improves stamina,‬‬
‫‪strength and flexibility and makes us feel better. It makes our heart‬‬
‫‪and lungs stronger. On top of this, our brains release special chemicals‬‬
‫‪called endorphins. It can help us to relax, lose weight and even give up‬‬
‫‪smoking. as a result, after exercise we are likely to feel relaxed and‬‬
‫‪sleep better.‬‬
‫يقول األطباء إن الرياضة لها فوائد صحية عديدة ‪.‬إنه يحسن القدرة على التحمل والقوة‬

‫‪Most of us love fast food because it is cheap, quick and convenient.‬‬
‫‪However, doctors say it is bad for health because it has too much fat,‬‬
‫‪salt and sugar and makes them overweight. Moreover,‬‬
‫‪Environmentalists say that it damages the environment because of the‬‬
‫‪plastic containers it comes in. They are thrown on the streets causing‬‬
‫‪pollution. Yet, we can reduce the bad effects by not eating the same‬‬
‫‪thing, by drinking water instead of sweet drinks and by taking care‬‬
‫‪with fast food containers.‬‬

• She invited Dana to come with her family to the park for a picnic.

• Dana's little brother, Faisal who wanted to come with her.

• He is nine years old and he is sometimes a bit silly.

• He pulls Layla's long hair and he forces them to play football with him.

The Tempest / ‫العاصفة‬

1- When and where was Shakespeare born?

* He was born in 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon in the middle of England.

2- What did Shakespeare work as he was a young man?

* He worked as an actor.

3- Why is he still the most famous dramatist in Britain and throughout the world? *
He's still that because his plays are played in every major language and his poetry
has been widely translated.

4- When was Shakespeare's play ''The Tempest'' written?

* It was written in 1610 – 1611.

5- Where it was first performed? Was it re- performed again?

* It was first performed at the Royal Court of King James and it was re-performed to
celebrate the marriage of Queen Elizabeth.

6- Why is often thought of '' The Tempest '' as Shakespeare's farewell to the
stage? * Because it's probably the last play which he wrote by himself.

7- Is Shakespeare known to have written some plays with other playwrights?

* Yes, he is. They're Thomas Middleton and John Fletcher.

8- The Tempest is a Renaissance comedy. Does this mean it is simply funny?

* No. A comedy, at this time, can include humor but the important thing is that it
ends happily.

9- Who is Prospero?

* A magician and the most powerful person in the play.

10- Who is Caliban?

* He's Prospero's servant, dark and complex character .He's called ''monster'' by the
others.

11- What is Caliban's second, short speech considered?

* It's considered one of the most famous in the play and indeed in English literature.

12- What is the key theme of the play?

* It's the fact that Caliban is a native of the island and the other characters are
colonizers.
