    Book (online edition acceptable), compass, protractor, ruler, scientific calculator, binder with loose leaf paper, pencils

    Course Details:

    1. Supplies: The materials listed above should be brought to class each day.

    2. Homework Policy : The homework given in this course is designed to solidify skills worked on in class and expand
    your problem-solving abilities, logical reasoning, and critical thinking skills. You may always ask me or another student
    about a problem if needed; homework can be collaborative. Copying, of course, is never allowed and is considered
    dishonest behavior that violates the Honor Code at PDS. It is expected that you show all of your work, check the
    answers to all odd numbered problems in the back of the book, and try to correct any problems that are incorrect.

    Homework Grading Scale:


    1 point – Complete with all work shown and solutions checked
    .75 points – On time, but needs improvement
    .5 points – Late
    0 points - Did not submit

    3 unsubmitted homework assignments – email to student and advisor


    4 unsubmitted homework assignments – email to student, advisor and family

    3. Grade calculation: All grading is done with points. Your grade will be calculated by dividing all the points you earn
    by the total points available on tests, quests, quizzes, projects, entrance/exit tickets, homework, etc. It is important to
    know that there is no extra credit as per department policy. For tests, grades below 70% will have a notice sent to
    advisor and family, and grades below 75% might have the opportunity to complete corrections to earn up to a 75%

    4. Extra help: We will regularly review homework and go over questions in class, but you are also encouraged
    to set up a time to work with me during a free period if you would like to ask more questions.
