1. Aspirin: A drug that reduces pain, fever,


inflammation, and blood clotting. Aspirin is a type of
non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It is also being
studied in the prevention of cancer. It is a trademark
that, over time, became a common noun for
acetylsalicylic acid. This drug is used as an antipyretic
and as an analgesic to relieve pain.

2. Cold tablets: This combination medication is used to


temporality treat symptoms caused by the common cold,
flu, allergy or berating illness. Decongestants help
relieve stuffy nose, sinus and congestion.
Acetaminophen and ibuprofen help reduce fever and
relieve muscle aches with people with colds.

3. Vitamins: Organic substance found in food


and which, in small quantities, is essential for the
development of the metabolism of living beings;
the body cannot make this substance on its own.
They are micronutrients necessary for
metabolism and vital in our diet. The importance
of vitamins is directly related to health, since it
has been shown that the appearance of certain
diseases is generated from the lack of certain vitamins. Also, vitamins can help
prevent some chronic diseases.

4. Cough Syrups: These are viscous liquids that


usually contain concentrated solutions of sugars,
such as sucrose, in water or another liquid. Syrups
have been used for a long time and before sugar
was discovered, they were made with honey. The
liquids that usually make up the syrup are distilled
water, solutions, extractives, juices, and others.

5. Cough drops: they are drugs with expectorant,


antitussive and anti-inflammatory properties, belonging to
the set of so-called mucolytics. It is also used in the treatment

6. Throat lozenge: these are small tablets,

designed to combat acidity problems. These drugs include in

Decongestant spray / nasal spray: are used to deliver


medications locally in the nasal cavities or systemically. They are
used locally for conditions such as nasal congestion and allergic
rhinitis.

9. Eye drops: They are sterile, aqueous or oily solutions


or suspensions of one or more active ingredients, intended
for instillation in the eye. They are used for therapeutic or
diagnostic purposes. We must avoid contamination, as it
could affect the eye.

10. Ointment: A liquid or pasty medicine that is spread on a part


of the body and is used to relieve or soothe pain. Ointments or
ointments are also pharmaceutical forms resulting from the use
of fats or substances with similar properties for the application of
active principles on the skin. Its fundamental difference with
creams is the absence of water in its composition.

11. Cream: is a semi-solid preparation for topical


treatment. The creams are water-based (unlike an

3. What is the latest news on bird flu?
Bird flu is the disease caused by the infection of type A avian (bird) influenza (flu)
virus. This virus is found naturally among waterfowl around the world and can infect
domestic poultry. and to other birds and other animal species.
The most common form of contagion of this type of flu is through contact with infected
birds. It can also be passed from person to person. Symptoms begin to manifest
within two to eight days and can resemble a common cold. The patient may have a
cough, fever, sore throat and headache, muscle aches, and shortness of breath. The
disease has a high mortality rate among humans. Some antiviral drugs, if taken

Avian influenza: H10N3: the first human case of infection with this strain of bird flu
detected in China. A 41-year-old Chinese man is the first human case of infection
with a rare strain of bird flu.
Authorities did not provide details on how the man was infected, but the H10N3 strain
is not believed to be easily transmitted from human to human.
This resident of the city of Zhenjiang, east China, was diagnosed last week, although
according to the Beijing National Health Commission (NHC) he had been admitted
to the hospital on April 28.
He came in with a fever and other symptoms, but has now recovered and is ready
