Problem Statement
It is often difficult to press bearings from metal work pieces. Difficulties when holding and keeping the
materials firm can result in the workers sustaining injury and a business having downtime.

Conditions
The bearing press was designed to be operated manually with less effort and difficulty. It has a
mechanical advantage and gives the operator some level of comfort when operating. It is applicable for
any operator as it is a safe device, which is easy to use.

Design Justification
The design was chosen because the materials are easily available and inexpensive. It is effective in terms
of being used to press bearings with minimum amount of effort. The probability of workmen injury is
essentially eliminated; and it can be used at any time and in at any location.

BEARINGS SOLUTIONS LIMITED will engage in a thorough marketing campaign.
1. An updated website and Facebook page will be maintained.
2. Advertising pages will be bought in prominent, respected industrial journals/magazines.
3. Signage at business offices and factory will be attractive and clear.
4. Business cards will be given to employees and kept at the office. Invoices and other company
stationery will be bear logo and business details.

OPERATIONS PLAN
BEARINGS SOLUTIONS LIMITED operates at an organized workflow as depicted below. Manufacturing is
the main area of business, but at times there will be repair and callouts.
