Topic: Moral decision-making process Week: 8 Session: 1

Learning Intent
At the end of the Week 8, the students can determine how to do a balanced and integrative
moral decision making by:

2. assessing selected moral cases which are affecting the members of the Filipino homes.

I. Concept Notes

Moral decision making is guided by the revelation and legal rulings in Islam. The
process is anchored from the Quran. From here, the decision maker will consult
the sunnah (tradition) of the Prophet, consensus of the companions (Ijma), and
so on before he/she can finally decide morally on a particular event/action.
