B. Instructions
Evaluate the contribution of each person in your group (except yourself). You can award a
person 100% for group participation. If a person’s average peer assessment is 100%, then the
person will receive the full mark given to the project. However, if a person’s average peer
assessment is less than 100%, their individual mark for the project will reflect their peer
assessment. See page 2 part C of this Peer Evaluation form for details. Some of the things
to think about are as follows:

1. Did the person complete the tasks given to them by the group?
2. Did the person meet the time deadlines set by the group (unless extensions were agreed)?
3. Did the person attended all group meetings (unless they had a good reason to be absent)?
4. Did the person submit satisfactory work and/ or provide revisions when requested?
5. Did the person make you feel physically and emotionally safe at all times? If you are feeling
unsafe or unsure what to do about threatening or unwanted behaviour, you can talk about

C. Example: Averaged Peer Assessment

Grading System
The peer assessment percentage comes from average marks from your colleagues given. The
individual mark will multiply with the multiplier below:

100% – 85% = 1.0 84% – 75% = 0.9 74% – 55% = 0.7

54% – 35% = 0.5 34% – 15% = 0.3 14% – 1% = 0.1
0% = 0

Sample Peer Evaluation

The Person’s Name Mark out of 100 Individual Mark

Mary Muffin 100 % 16

Bob Boots 90% 16

Sue Slippers 80% 14.4

Alan Always 50% 8

Joe Black 50% 8

Explanation
Sue and Mary were in the same group. The group project received 16/20 marks. Mary received
100% in her peer assessment. Therefore, Mary received 16/20 for the marketing project. Sue
received 80% in her peer assessment (equal 0.9 multiplier). Therefore, Sue received 0.9 of
16/20. This means that Sue’s mark for the project was 0.9 of 20 marks = 14.4/20 marks.
