1.      What causes air pollution?
Natural sources of air pollution include volcanic eruptions, wildfires, and
allergies. However, human activities are responsible for the majority of air pollution.
Some of these are caused by agricultural energy. When fossil fuels are used to create
energy, greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide are
released into the atmosphere, while fluorinated gases trap heat from the sun. As a
result, air pollution aggravates climate change, causing the world's temperatures to
rise.

2.      Name the types of human made pollution. What are its sources and effect to
human health?
3.      How does air pollution contributes to global warming?
4.      Can air pollution be prevented? How?

Read the article of Karl Begnotea entitled “Investigating mining pollution and plunder

1.    What is the importance of Begnotea taking samples of water and sediments in
Didipio River? What analysis do you thing he will do with it?
2.    Explain how mining pollution can affect other towns and municipalities in Nueva
Vizcaya.
3.    Define the communities “continuing struggles”. What are they fighting for? What
have they lost?
