SIMPLE STEPS TO BICYCLE SAFETY

CONTEXT:
An Eglish friend of yours wants to buy a second-hand bicycle to move around in your
town. As you are worried about her safety, you would like to give her some basic tips on
how to ride safely and you have found an infographic with some information about the
matter (see next page). Send her a WhatsApp voice message explaining the main ideas
in the infographic and expanding on them.

TASK:
• Greet your friend
• Tell her why you're sending this voice message
• Explain what you've read in the infographic
• Conclude summarizing briefly all the key point
• Say goodbye

Remember to:

ü Use advanced grammar and vocabulary.


ü Organise your ideas coherently.
ü Conclude your speech effectively.
ü Review and check the grammar and vocabulary you are going to use.
ü If you feel unsure about your pronunciation, you can check it out first in a good
dictionary or on https://www.naturalreaders.com/online/ (write your speech, choose
an accent and a voice to read it and the speed –slower (-1), faster (+1) or standard
(0). Then you can hear your speech and try to imitate the accent and
pronunciation.
