Moderation Guide
This PATROL & Moderation Guide Document is only viewable by PATROL personnel
only. This document is considered "CLASSIFIED" and by leaking it will result in a
permanent blacklist and a ban from the British Army. If the issue you’re looking for
isn’t written in this document, use your general BA knowledge to answer their question,
or request assistance from another Moderator.
MODERATION GUIDE
WARN:
Command: ?warn (for warning)
MUTE:
Command: ?mute (Disables the person to send any more messages)
KICK:
Command: ?kick (removes the user from the discord server)
SOFTBAN:
Command: ?softban (same as kick, but deletes their messages from the past two weeks)
You MUST sign your logs (with your full username)! Not doing so will get you punished
accordingly. One and ONLY one reason is an exception, which is; if the chat is getting
so chaotic, forgetting to sign your logs are excused in this matter only. Other excuses
are not included except for this one. So, please do NOT forget to sign your logs.
False Moderations
➢ Remember that those below the age of 13 are not permitted to be in the British
Army discord server. When someone claims to be 13+ but they sound really
young in Voice channels, you cannot take action on them unless they admit to
being under the age of 13. Said by ReaperAaron himself, innocent until proven
guilty.

➢ Talking in #│ bot-commands (not using a command) was an offence. However,
this rule was removed due to #│ bot-commands being basically a “spam”
channel. You cannot warn anybody for speaking in bot commands.
Example:
wtf, tf, lmfao, stfu, fym…
❖ Abbreviations are allowed. Do not warn anybody for “swearing” if they used
abbreviations.
Deleting Warnings
If someone is unfairly warned, the warning can be removed from their mod-logs by
doing the following:
Tickets

➢ Support tickets can be opened by visiting the #│ tickets ← (click the
word) channel and clicking the corresponding button.
➢ The bot will then go ahead and open a ticket, which pings @PATROL and
@HEADQUARTERS.
FORMAT:
If they’ve already stated their issue before a moderator wrote their format, you can skip
the format and directly help them with the problem.

Make sure to refer to the ticket guide if you are unsure how to handle a ticket:

If it’s an issue like “I bought ____ but I didn’t get the rank” you don’t say “Sorry I can’t do
anything about this, I can’t rank you” and close the ticket, you are required to assist
them. In a situation like this, you would check their inventory AND CONFIRM their
purchase. After doing so, ask them if they visited the rank centre. If they did so, and DID
NOT get ranked, AND the game pass is NOT offsale, then ping someone who upholds
the rank of Lieutenant General or above, don’t go straight to the Vice Chief of
Defence for this issue.
Know that you must remain patient and professional when dealing with one, don’t let
your “anger” take over if they seem stupid.
When a PATROL High Rank or a Chief Rank takes over your ticket, it’s no longer

yours, don’t bother typing there. For any assistance with dealing with a ticket, head over
to # │support-request ← (click the word) and ping an available High Rank or
moderator with experience (Senior Moderator and ).
Reminder:
➔ If a ticket remains unresponsive for over 10 minutes, close it. Even if you’re
not the one who claimed it, make sure to close one if neither are
responding.
➔ If a ticket was already dealt with, and you’re just waiting for a response for
the question “Is that everything?” just close it if they remain
unresponsive.
