TOPIC: THE TAUGHT CURRICULUM- STRATEGIES FOR TEACHING TODAY’S STUDENTS

To progress the educational ethos of the twenty-first century, it is essential to address the demands of students
given the diversity and advanced technologies of our society. There was once a time when pupils could only learn
from their teachers. The high level of participation required of students in the twenty-first century in order for them to
design their own learning has an impact on them. As the constructivists frequently stress, students should approach
their education with the goal of creating their own understanding of the world they live in.
This curriculum uses a variety of teaching and learning techniques to meet the requirements and interests of
the students. To keep students' interest and to improve the learning we can inculcate, teachers should employ a variety
of instructional methods. There are various teaching philosophies described in the curriculum, and from my point of
view, it is essential for teachers to learn them in order to understand the various demands of their students and the
various learning philosophies they find most comfortable.
Another method of teaching mentioned is learning from and about our students. Although we as teachers
should be knowledgeable, we cannot deny that our students are learners who have more experience in the subject
matter we are addressing. As a result, we should accept their viewpoints and learn from them as well, especially if
they are more exposed to technology than we are. Expanding teaching learning also covers the idea that as educators,
we should never stop learning. Occasionally, we should take technology-specific courses so that we may impart and
exhibit the greatest knowledge to our students.
Additionally, it will encourage the growth of many abilities necessary for their survival in the outside world.
This approach to instruction is effective because it uses ongoing evaluation and flexible grouping, regardless of
whether teachers differentiate material, process, products, or the learning environment. One of my reflections on how
to enhance teaching and learning will be this. Another method for doing this is to be aware of the best teaching
techniques and approaches. For teaching and learning to advance, it would likely be essential to maximize student
voice.
