REFLECTION PAPER

Program: MAED- EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT   Student No. 2213000021

Course Title: ADVANCED PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION        Course No. 9021
Professor: JOCELYN C. JIMENEZ, Ed.D

The idea of curriculum integration is to connect two or more disciplines to create a more effective learning
environment. Compared to typical single subject teaching, CI is thought to be more "relevant, real, authentic, and
integrated." Additionally, pupils have a greater understanding of the purpose of the material they are studying. They
are far better able to see how their curriculum relates to their learning.
Teachers further indicated that by combining two topics, pupils can become "hooked-in" to topics they were
not as interested in. "A lift for hitherto unpopular issues." Additionally, curriculum integration was viewed as a way to
address global issues. For some teachers, this was crucial in the school's regulatory debate.
Additionally, teachers were persuaded of Curriculum Integration's potential as a fruitful method of instruction.
Teachers also suggested various benefits, such as applying concepts in real-world contexts and boosting instructor
challenge, excitement, and interest, in addition to the fundamental themes already discussed. Teachers also underlined
the significance of modeling teamwork for students and being receptive to learning to emerge in many and unexpected
ways. Teachers are also considered as learners themselves.
