In the midst of this pandemic, how can you show your concern to the
others? How can you bring yourself closer to your compatriots and
create unity ? We all have different strategy to survive each day, we are
all striving to live. This pandemic was unexpected crisis that we are
fighting for two years until now. It is hard or us to fight the enemy that
we can’t even see, the enemy that we cannot notice that it has been
already entered to our body, until the symptoms will slowly kills us.
Each of us having a hard time, we do not run out of rants, we always
complain about how hard our life is, but we still choose to live. We all
have the drive to survive everyday because we have goals and we still
believe that this crisis will end.

Real Deluge: 1 Way to Manage its “Impacts”

Two years ago was the last year that we can hug, hold, touch our loved
ones in public places, give them hello and goodbye kisses. Two years
ago was the last year that we are free to go anywhere where we want and
free to socialize with others. Also two years ago when the real deluge started. December 31, 2019 was the first initial report of
CORONAVIRUS DISEASE , on January 30, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared coronavirus outbreak a global
health emergency and on March 11, 2020 the WHO declared coronavirus a global pandemic. According to PubMed.gov the first
suspected case here in Philippines was investigated on January 22, 2020, and 633 suspected cases were reported as of March 1, 2020.
When the pandemic came many filipino people including you suffered in all matters and aspects, most of us lost our job and source of
income. I know that you felt discouraged and depressed about the incidents caused by coronavirus , don’t worry and just smile, all of us
felt the same way, don’t forget that we are filipino, we are known as sturdy people especially in the midst of crisis, all of our properties
will fade but the smiles on our faces will stay.

Communicate Don’t Isolate: Help yourself !

Due to rapid spread of coronavirus disease here in Philippines, our government implemented various actions such as “social
distancing”, “self-quarantine”, and “stay at home” . Those phrases are the words that made you feel depressed and isolated, you can’t
deny because that’s the fact. The practice of social distancing means staying home and away from others as much as possible to help
prevent spread of the said virus. We are required to stay at least 6 feet from others, it means you can’t make physical contact with people
as well as always wear your face mask. Many of us felt that we are being isolated because of implementations especially the youth, but
those rules and regulations are not hindrance for us to communicate with others. Do not confine yourself just because you can’t talk
and hangouts with your friends. Do not forget that there are many ways to socialize, communicate at all cost it is very hard to feel
alone it can lead you to some suicidal thoughts. Always remember that you are not the only one having a hard time, all of us struggles in
the midst of this pandemic. Send hello to your friends online, show some concern, ask them how are they doing, in that way you can
help to cheer them up as well as you can help yourself to be free from loneliness.

Unity by Clicking : The Bottom Line

Philippine is a diverse country, each of us are in different state of life. Yes we are all struggling but we are not facing the same problems.
According to borjenproject.com 16.6% population of our country or about 17.6 million people are living under the poverty line. It means
there are millions of filipino people who are financially unstable or having difficulties in living every other day. If your mom or other
member of your family is having a problem in thinking what to cook for breakfast, lunch and dinner, well let me tell you this, there are
families each part of our country having problem because they have nothing to cook. Due to this pandemic thousands of filipinos lost
their source of income especially those people who lived under the poverty line, their normal lives are in poverty but what they are
experiencing right now is worst than normal. If they are having difficulty of living two years ago, imagine how hard their lives in
present. Currently, food prices have skyrocketed and jobs are scarce. Every other day people died because of hunger.

You have seen on social media some kind-hearted people that helping those barely surviving filipinos in the midst of this pandemic,
that’s the proof that humanity and unity is existing despite of this crisis. Social distancing and staying at home is not hindrance to help
those people struggling in life. With the help of social media and other websites we can lend a hand to many people not just in donating
cash or other stuffs but just simply clicking the share button and spread the posts, in that way it can reach to some kind-hearted concern
netizens and they can able to help the people in need.

As you observe distance and adversities caused by coronavirus did not succeeded to kill our unity, instead it brings us closer to each
other not in physical but in our heart. Adversities made us stronger to strive each day, it made us prepared to conquer all the upcoming
challenges. Lastly, this pandemic made our faith in God stronger and purer.
