Posted Rules
▪ Attendance – Show up on time when you attend school.
▪ Keep body parts and objects to yourself.
▪ Inappropriate language usage is not allowed with any human in class.
▪ Submit homework and class assignments on time.
▪ Bathroom – One person at a time to the restroom and must return within 6 minutes.

Rationale
▪ Show up on time so that you don’t disrupt the class and that your able to complete the
warm-up activity along with the rest of the class.
▪ For the safety of everyone, keep your body parts to yourself and no throwing or tossing
an object.
▪ To cultivate and remain a be kind safe learning environment all humans is not allowed
to use any inappropriate language nor may they not use harmful words to belittle any
humans in the classroom.
▪ Submit all homework and class assignments on time to remain on track with the rest of
the class and you don’t receive a consequence.
▪ Failure to follow bathroom rule will result in a consequence. Remember not during the
10/10 rule and this is to make sure you return in an appropriate time frame and
consider others.

▪ Remember we are all humans
▪ Stay on task – be engaged – actively participate in class – bring your material
▪ Follow school and classroom rules, policies, and procedures

10/10 Rule
▪ All students must remain in the classroom during the first, and last, ten – minutes of the
class period.
o First ten minutes: Bell ringer – warm – up activity will be on the board for
students to work on the first ten minutes of class.
o Last ten minutes: 10 minutes before class release – students need to pick up and
work on exit ticket to submit to teacher at the door.

▪ Finger cross: Restroom / Water break – not during 10/10 Rule
▪ 2 – Finger: Assignment question (s)
▪ 3 – Finger: Approach student resource table (Kleenex/hand sanitizer; sharpen pencil,
classroom supplies, etc.)
▪ 4 – Finger: Student know the answer
▪ T – Time Out: Immediate conference with teacher (Teacher Use Only)

Consequences
▪ Warning
▪ Phone call home to parent/guardian
▪ ISS - Detention/Referral
▪ Suspension – time frame depends on the severity of the non-compliance.
▪ Classroom clean up after school
***Severe misbehavior will result in immediate removal to principal office

Rewards (edible – pick one or draw from the mystery box)


▪ Homework pass
▪ 20 minutes of computer time using wired headphones
▪ Snack/drink voucher
▪ Pop-Tarts
▪ Pick a candy bar
▪ Candy bag mix
▪ 10 points toward your lowest test grade
