The Banaue Rice Terraces

The Banaue Rice Terraces are located at Banaue, Ifugao, in the Philippines, and
were created there by the forefathers of the modern Philippines roughly 2,000
years ago. They were allegedly made by hand and were utilized for rice planting.
Many Filipinos rank the Banaue Rice Terraces as the eighth natural wonder of
the world and as a Philippine National Cultural Treasure. The scenery is
breathtaking, regal, and motivational. So that is why it is not surprising that
many tourists will go there because of its amazing scenery and the creativity of
what it takes to make a mountain like that. And based on some tourists that
have gone there, if you're lucky, an Ifugao warrior will welcome you. He could
terrify you with his weaponry, looks, and temperament, but he's a vital
component of the spectacular show that makes the Banaue Terrace great and
worthwhile to visit. During the tunggul festival, the residents of the province
enjoy themselves greatly. They consume betel nuts, rice cakes, and bayah, or
rice beer, during the event. This is what makes the Banaue Rice Terraces
appealing to tourists, both domestic and international.
