BPC MEDIA – RISK ASSESMENT FORM

Below you must detail the hazard number from the check list, identify where the hazard is
coming from and detail how you will limit the risk of the hazards you have identified.
HAZARD HAZARD DETAILS HOW WILL YOU LIMIT THE
NUMBER RISKS
1 Trip hazard We will keep aware of our
surroundings and look out
for roots in the ground. My
dogs could also walk in front
of us so we will make sure
that they don’t get in the
way of us while we film
scenes.
2 Weather conditions If it is heavily raining then
we will film another day so
that I don’t damage the
camera.

3 Falling objects There are lots of pine cones

that can fall on us in certain
areas in Parley Common so
we will only film in those
bits as a last resort and
won’t stay in that area for
long if we have to. We will
also keep aware of our
surroundings.
4 Members of public/ horse riders There are lots of dog
walkers in the area so we
will stay out of there way
and make sure no one is in
view before we begin
filming the scene. They also
get a lot of horse riders on
certain days like Sundays so
we will film on a day where
not many horse riders will
be out but if we encounter a
horse rider we will stop
filming and stay to the side
of it so that we can let it
pass through then begin
filming again.

5 Proximity to water There is a river in Parley

common but we will not be
going anywhere near the
river so that shouldn’t be a
problem.

Below you must sign off that you accept the risks and will adhere to safe working practice.
On some assignments staff with need to sign your risk assessment for you to hire out kit.
