Today, we will be talking about the DepEd Teacher 1

Ranking Requirements.
So, before we begin, let me first ask one volunteer, why do you think are ranking requirements
necessary?
Correct! Ranking requirements are necessary to formally express yourself as someone qualified
for the role. With that said, let us begin.

The first requirement is the Application Letter.

All right, an application letter is an important requirement because it serves to establish a good
introduction and first impression between you and DepEd.

The second requirement is the Accomplished Civil Service Commission Form 212 (CSC Form
212 Revised 2017).

Okay, since DepEd is a governme5nt agency, a CSC Form is integral because it permits you to
work on government-controlled entities. (Which in this case is DepEd)

The third requirement is the Certified Photocopy of your LET rating.

Since all of us are potential teachers, can one volunteer tell me the importance of the LET rating?
The LET rating sheet is essential because it serves as proof that you passed the LET
Examination. Moreover, the LET rating sheet reflects your strengths and weaknesses as a
teacher.

The fourth requirement is the PRC License.

Like the rating sheet, the PRC License is further proof that you passed the LET Examination and
that you are licensed to be a teacher.

The fifth requirement is the Certified Photocopy of your Transcript of Records.

Can one volunteer tell me the importance of the Transcript of Records?
The Transcript of Records is a list of the course units you have completed and the tests you have
passed so like the LET rating sheet, both serve as a means to assess your strengths and
weaknesses as a teacher.

The sixth requirement is the Photocopy of the Certificate(s) of Specialized Training(s) you
attended.

The photocopies of the certificates of seminars you attended are important because they serve as
incentives for DepEd to hire you. Specialized IT courses, as far as I know, are one of the
qualifications that DepEd looks for in a teacher.

The seventh requirement is the Certification of Employment/ Service Records/ Performance

Rating or Clearances.

The eighth requirement is the original copy of Certificate of Residency or Voter’s ID or Voter’s
Affidavit.

Aside from exercising your right to suffrage, the Voter’s ID is a requirement for DepEd to
ascertain that you are involved in the matters pertaining to your community.

The ninth requirement is the PSA/NSO Birth Certificate.

The tenth requirement is the Barangay, Police and NBI Clearance.

Although it is self-explanatory, the three clearances are important for the application process
because it is proof that you are not involved in any illegal activity in your country.
The eleventh requirement is Omnibus Certification of authenticity and Veracity of all documents
submitted, signed by the applicant.

The Omnibus Certification of Validity and Veracity of All Documents Submitted is significant
since it attests to the authenticity of all materials submitted. Failure to do so may lead to a stain
in the said teacher’s integrity and criminal penalties.

Overall, the reminders I have read emphasize the need of being prepared and diligent in the tasks
we must complete. Introspectively, these characteristics will always be relevant whether or not
one applies to DepEd so exercise them always.
