Internship Report 1

EDUC 349- Final Project

Introduction

As an intern at the Lebanese Alternative Learning (LAL) company, I got the chance to help

create and edit online learning lessons for K–12 students. I was involved in tasks such as editing

educational content, and integrating digital tools to the lessons. Working alongside experienced

professionals in the field gave me the opportunity to develop my skills and build knowledge of

the educational technology sector.

On the first day of our internship, the manager introduced us to the Lebanese Alternative

Learning (LAL) company's vision and mission. They gave me a clear idea of the tasks I would

be working on throughout our internship, which aligned with the company's mission of

developing innovative and accessible online learning solutions for Lebanon's K-12 students. My

first task was to review and edit the space management lesson. My role would entail assessing

the lesson's efficacy, along with providing suggestions on its content. Furthermore, I evaluated if

the lesson met its goals and pointing up any areas that needed improvement. After the space

management lesson, I was in charge of all the Arabic units.

My role

-Reviewing for accuracy and completeness: As the editor and reviewer of lesson plans, I made

sure that each task appropriately reflected the knowledge and abilities that should be addressed in
the lesson. I searched for any loopholes in the plan, such as missed tasks or evaluations, and

recommend any necessary additions or changes.

-Checking for meeting the requirements: This might include ensuring that the plan's aims and

actions correspond to the appropriate standards, and offering adjustments if they do not.

-Editing for clarity and readability: I am expected to modify lesson plans to make them concise,

and easily understood. The task can entail rephrasing ambiguous or wordy language, dividing

lengthy paragraphs, or adding formatting like bullet points or headers.

- Providing feedback and suggestions: This could be highlighting areas of weakness,

recommending additional activities or assessments, or offering materials that would be helpful

for the class. Also, sharing updates on the project and communicating with the manager after

each unit.

Relation to the ADDIE stages

Instructional designers create the learning resources and tasks developed in the previous stage

(Design). It involves preparing lesson plans, presentations, educational activities, and other

digital resources.

Once the instructional materials have been created, they must be reviewed and edited to ensure

that they are reliable, efficient, and suitable for the learners. This stage would entail examining

the lesson plans for mistakes, ensuring that the content is aligned with the learning objectives,

and making any required adjustments to improve the quality of the materials.
Overall, evaluating and modifying lesson plans is a crucial aspect of the ADDIE Model's

Development stage since it ensures that the instructional materials are of high quality and will

successfully help the learners.
