CALIBRATION:

After installing all the modules in each Pull cord or Belt sway switch and Termination

Module in the last switch, Two wire control bus is connected to the Master Controller.

To field +ve, field –ve & field return. As per the wiring diagram shown.

Now system is ready for Calibration.

There is a slide switch on the Front side of Master controller.It has got 8 switches in it.

1. Pull cord switch ON- OFF Loop 1.


2. Pull cord sw 2 switch ON –OFF Loop 2.
3. Chute Jam switch , ON-OFF Loop 3.
4. Speed Monitor switch, ON-OFF Loop 4
5. Scan ON-OFF Switch
6. Test ( Factory setting )
7. Auto / Manual
8. Spare.

Calibration is done by turning slid switch ON 1 & 5 configuration for Pull chord switch

mode.Now keep all the Pull chord switches OFF i.e. In healthy condition.Power to the

Master controller should turn ON. Display will show ‘bLt’,‘PC’ and then ‘SCn’ which
indicates Master starts scanning..Now turn First switch ON which you want to give as

no.1. Display will Display as’ ‘P01’.It means that Pull cord 1 is stored in memory.

Now switch off No.1 switch and turn ON 2nd switch ON.The Display will show ‘P02’ so Pull

cord 2 is stored.These way proceed all the switches upto the end.. One by one serially

and stores its address in the memory of Microcontroller. . All total No. of pull cord switches it

should indicate on Display. e.g. Suppose 32 pull cord switches connected to the master

controller then it should Display 1 to 32 no. If it had detected all the 32 switches that means all

the wiring is correct & system is ready for detection. After completing all switches turn slide

switch 5 OFF.The display will show ‘---‘ which indicates all reading is stored and scaning of

Pull Cord switches are complete.

Now Keep Slide switch 2 & 5 ON for Belt sway switch calibration. Switch off the the power to

the Panel. Again Switch ON the Power to the Panel. All Belt Sway should be Off i.e.Healthy

condition. Display will show ‘bS’,’bLt’ and then ‘SCn’. which indicates Master started

scanning..Now turn First switch ON which you want to give as no.1.Display will Display as’
b01’.It means that Belt sway switch 1 is stored in memory. Now switch off No.1 switch and turn

ON 2nd switch ON.The Display will show ‘b02’ so Belt Sway switch 2 is stored.

These way proceed all the switches upto the end.. One by one serially and stores its address

in the memory of Microcontroller . . All total No. of Belt sway switches it should indicate on

Display After completing all switches turn slide switch 5 OFF.The display will show ‘---‘ which

indicates all reading is stored and scaning is complete.

3. Repeat same procedure for Loop 3 i.e Chute Jam Loop by keeping switch 3 & 5 ON.

4. Repeat same procedure for Loop 4 i.e. Speed Monitor Loop Keeping Switch 4 & 5 ON.

Now turn slide switch ‘1’ ON and Turn off ‘5’scan switch.from configuration mode to Its normal

mode.The display will show healthy by ‘HLy’.Now the calibration is over and system is ready for

Detection..
These scanning process is also used for fault finding when the cable is broken Between any two

switches and controller is showing Cable fault as ‘Open’ on front display of Master controller. In

such cases the nos.stops advancing where cable is broken .e.g. If the cable is broken between

switch 10 & switch 11.The display will stops scanning after switch 10.So we will immediately

come to know that there is cable broken between switch 10 & switch 11.It is also useful to

check the wiring in the begining. i.e If the Sensor module In and Out wires are interchanges or

wrongly connected can be detected by these scanning Procedure. In this case in those pull

cord switch in which wiring is incorrect that no. will be skipped or Omitted in scanning and total

no. of switches will show one no.less.i.e. In above Case instead of 32 total it will indicate 31 no.

Once the calibration completes system is ready for Trip Indication.
