Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of others.

There are three types of

empathy:

Cognitive Empathy:
Cognitive empathy is also known as "perspective-taking" empathy.
It involves the ability to understand and perceive another person's perspective or point of view.
It allows a person to understand and relate to another's feelings and thoughts, without
necessarily feeling them themselves.
Emotional Empathy:
Emotional empathy is also called "affective empathy" or "emotional contagion."
It involves actually feeling the emotions of another person.
This type of empathy is often associated with feeling and expressing compassion for others.
Compassionate Empathy:
Compassionate empathy involves a combination of cognitive and emotional empathy.
It involves understanding another person's perspective and feeling their emotions, while also
feeling a desire to alleviate their suffering.
This type of empathy often leads to acts of kindness and compassion towards others
