recognizing and understanding our own emotions, strengths, weaknesses, and how they impact
our actions and decisions.
Build Social Awareness:

needs, and perspectives of others, and using this understanding to build relationships and work
collaboratively.
Methods to Implement in Emotional Intelligence Strategy:
Build Self-Awareness:

Writing down our thoughts and feelings can help us become more aware of them. Regular
journaling can help us identify patterns in our emotions and understand what triggers certain
reactions.
ii. Seek Feedback:
Asking for feedback from trusted friends or colleagues can provide insight into how others
perceive us, our strengths, and areas for improvement. This can help us gain a better
understanding of our own emotions and behaviors.

Build Social Awareness:
i. Active listening is an important skill for building social awareness. By fully focusing on what
the other person is saying and trying to understand their perspective, we can build stronger
relationships and work more effectively with others. This can help us build trust and create a
positive work environment.
ii. Observing non-verbal cues is another important method for building social awareness. By
paying attention to a person's body language, facial expressions, and tone of voice, we can
better understand their emotions and needs. This can help us build empathy and respond in a
more appropriate way.
