I. Activity: Play Dough Alphabet Spelling Activity

II. Objectives:
The pupils will be able to use their learning to:
a. Create small letters using clay (play dough)
b. Be creative
c. Show their talent in art
d. Cooperate actively during the activity.

III. Procedure

STAGES ACTIVITIES
 The pupils will sing “Alphabet Song”
EXPLORE/MOTIVATION

 This activity is awesome because it can be used in so


many different ways. It encourages pupils to spell words,
FIRM names, and even strengthen fine motor and sorting skills.
UP/INTRODUCTION Sorting develops visual perception skills needed for
reading and writing.
 The kids can sort the letter manipulatives according to
color, letter sounds, vowels and consonants, etc. The
options are endless!

 For this easy-prep activity, grab some play dough and any
plastic ABC manipulative. Strengthen fine motor muscles
and encourage longer independent play time by also
including rollers and other play dough tools!

 Let the pupil’s spell their names using their clay dough.

ACTIVITY TIME

 Allow the pupils used their ways on how to roll and make
letters using clay dough.
 Talk about what the pupil is making.

Activity
 Let the pupil spell cvc words or simple words using clay
dough.

Appreciating the value of learning while playing.
