PRE-LESSON
3. Pupils sit in a circle.
4. They throw a soft ball or piece of crumpled paper to each other to ask for and give their names.
3. Activity 1:
a. Use the flag flashcards to introduce the vocabulary. (track 1)
b. Pupils look at the picture and elicit what they can see. (Activity 1 pg 5)
c. Introduce the task. Distribute worksheet.
d. Ask pupils to close their books when listening the first time. (track 2)
e. Pupils listen to the song for the second time.
f. Pupils match the children’s names to the corresponding flags. (Assessment)
LESSON DELIVERY
g. Pupils compare their answers in pairs before the class check.
h. Focus on difficult phonemes and words using the song text (e.g. /ei/ in Asia/Malaysia.)
i. Drill as necessary.
4. Activity 2:
a. Have pupils draw the Malaysian flag.
b. Talk to pupils about the colours and patterns in English.
c. Then, pupils practise introducing themselves using the flags.
5. Play ‘Spot the Difference’ e.g. Say: Hi! I’m Chin. I’m from the UK.
POST LESSON 6. Pupils say: No! Chin is from Korea.
7. Nominate some pupils to take the teacher’s role.

1. Pupils do a little recap on the parts of the house by playing a simple game 'Beat the teacher'.
2. Pupils are given an incomplete word and they have to guess the word before the teacher completes her drawing.
PRE-LESSON
3. Pupils have to give a letter at a time and the wrong letter will lead to addition of each parts of face.
4. Pupils are considered win if they guess the word before the teacher.
5. Activity 1:
a. Pupils are asked to read the sentences in page 77.
b. Pupils listen to the recorded audio and point to the correct picture.
c. Pupils read the paragraph below. Pupils give a few responses about their own homes.
d. Pupils are given fixed sentences to write about their house for example
e. 'I live in a ________house. There are _________bedrooms.' ' There are _______ bathrooms'
f. Pupils are guided to write simple sentences about their home. They can refer the textbook.

6. Activity 2:
a.Pupils take their sentences from the previous activity.

c. Then, pupils connect their sentences using the connector 'and'.
7. Pupils rewrite the sentences into their exercise book.
POST LESSON 8. Pupils are asked to check their spelling.
9. Pupils make a conclusion on today's lesson.

SUCCESS CRITERIA

M Pupils can write about their friends' favourite by using at least 2 simple sentences.
Pupils can seek for help at least 2 times by using fixed phrases.

1. Pupils are shown an anagram of key topic vocabulary on the board for example 'mcpteruo ameg' (review problematic spelling from lesson 53)
2.Pupils are asked to work the anagram out in pair.
PRE-LESSON
3. Pupils are given time to solve the anagram. If they have completed, they can work in group of three.
4. The pupils are introduced to the lesson.
4. Activity 1:
a. Pupils are shown a picture of the child. Pupils are asked several questions for example:
"What’ his/her name?" " How old is he/she?" "What’s his/her favourite toy?"
b. Pupils can use their own ideas to answer the question. The suggested answers are written on the board.
c. Pupils are asked the questions in stage 1 about the person next to them. If they do not know the answer, they can ask for help from the
person by using fixed phrases such as 'can you help me, please?'
d. Pupils work in group of four. In their group, pupils ask the other pair about their partner using the questions above.
LESSON DELIVERY
e. Pupils have to note the information in their exercise book. They do not need to focus on the spelling yet.
f. Pupils are encouraged to seek for help from teacher by using the fixed phrase.
5. Activity 2:
a. Pupils check their notes with their partner from previous activity. They need to focus on their spelling.
b. Pupils write about their partner's favourite by using simple sentences.
c. Pupils check their sentences with their partner before class check. At this point, pupils are encouraged to seek for teacher's help using
fixed phrases from previous activity.
6. Several pupils' mistakes are highlighted during the activity. The sentences are written on the board.
POST LESSON 7. Pupils are asked to identify the mistake and correct the mistake. The pair who did the mistake can correct their mistake.
8. Pupils make a conclusion on today's lesson.
