1. Display the picture of a shoe house.


I. PRE-LESSON 2. Elicit what they can see in the picture.
3. Write pupils’ responses on the board in bubble map form.

3. Play the video.
4. Pupils watch carefully and follow the rhymes.
5. Play the video again, pausing after each verse for pupils to repeat.
6. When pupils have learnt the rhymes, practise it with the whole class and then in groups.
7. Use the minus one version of the rhymes for pupils to recite.
8. Discuss the rhymes by asking questions.
II. LESSON e.g. Who lives in the house? How would the shape of the shoe make living in it difficult?

9. Play a video of unusual houses. Encourage pupils to talk about the houses.
10. Distribute papers to the pupils.
11. Ask pupils to draw a picture of an unusual house.
12. Then, pupils label their houses.
13. Monitor and help as and when necessary.
14. Display pupils’ work in the classroom.
15. Ask pupils to tell the class about their work.
