1. A few nouns are shown on the board. Pupils are asked what is the plural form of the words.

PRE-LESSON

1. Pupils are called out randomly to spell the plural form of the nouns and state the differences in spelling although all
the nouns are plural. Refer textbook page 67.

Pupils are explained about the spelling and more examples are given.

In groups, pupils are given a set of Tarsia Plural puzzle. Pupils match the singular and plural nouns to form the puzzle
3 correctly

Pupils complete the exercise in page 41 Year 3 Supplementary Worksheets Module. Peer assessment is conducted.

1. A few places in the school are written on the board. A graphic organiser for each place. Pupils brainstorm the rules for the

places.
PRE-LESSON

1. Pupils refer to textbook page 68.

2 Pupils listen to CD 2 audio track 10 and match the rules to the correct picture.

3 Pupils are introduced to the 3 ‘Rules in Schools’ reading cards. Pupils read and ask if there are any words that they .
don’t understand.
4 Pupils draw a ‘must and must not’ table template.
LESSON DELIVERY

5 Each group is given a reading card and they identify the points to be transferred to the table template.

6. One person from each group passes around the cards to

the other groups to repeat the process.

Pupils discuss their answers in the table template.

1. Pupils are introduced to cooking verbs (break, cut up, mix, fry, stir and serve)

PRE-LESSON

2. 1. Pupils are asked if they know how to cook and if they do, what have they cooked before.

3 Pupils in groups number the steps in making an omelette.

Pupils arrange the strips to form the correct version of the recipe. Pupils can either paste in a piece of paper or write

down in their exercise books.

LESSON DELIVERY Brainstorm a few Malaysian dishes that the kids might know. Pupils are given some keywords in advance such as coconut

milk, oninions, garlic, spices, rece and etc. (Teacher guides pupils and supplies them with some english words as they may
work in their first language)

Pupils refer to page 35 in the Year 3 Supplementary Worksheets Module. Pupils draft a recipe in their groups.

7. Pupils share their recipe with everyone else in the class.
