Examples:

Types of Nonverbal Communication

Gestures - A gesture is a type of nonverbal

communication where visible bodily actions are
performed by actors to convey specific messages,
either instead of or alongside speech, encompassing
movements of the hands, face, or other body parts.

Examples:

Waving hello Nodding in agreement.

Head Movements and Posture - Head movements

and posture are nonverbal cues used to acknowledge
others and convey interest or assertiveness.

Examples: head nods for acknowledgment, head

shakes for negation, head tilts for indicating interest,
and standing with hands on hips for assertiveness.

Eye Contact - Eye contact is a nonverbal

communication behavior where people look at each
other's eyes during conversation or interaction. It

sarcasm, anger, excitement, affection, or confidence.

Facial Expressions - these occur due to subtle facial
