Important Instructions for Pre-Employment Medical Tests for New Joinees

This offer is subject to your being found medically fit (Including Colour blindness) by the Company
Medical Officer based on pathological Laboratory tests of various investigations.
Candidates who are above 35 yrs of age need to undergo Blood Sugar(f), ECG, SGPT, Blood
Urea/Creatinine, Lipid profile tests in addition to other tests.
For candidates less than 35 yrs of age
1. Medical Examination Report,
• Body weight
• Height
• Blood pressure
• Pulse rate
• Color Blindness (Must)
• Eye examination mentioning 6/6 vision with or without glasses in both eyes
• Overall summary of the medical test
2. Eye check-up including colour blindness test,
3. Urine-R/M,
4. Blood Group-ABO & Rh,
5. VDRL,
6. X-ray Chest PA and
7. Hb ,TLC, DLC carried out at laboratories.
The List of pathological laboratories recognized for conducting medical examination of new entrants are
given in List-1 to 3 in the sheets attached.

For Medical Examination, you are required to present your “Letter of Intent/ Appointment letter” to any
of the mentioned laboratory doctors. Please take prior apponitment from the clinic before going for the
medical tests. The doctor/ clinic will hand over the original hard copy of the investigation reports to
you, which you will have to send the scan copies of it to CMO, MSIL putting the CC to respective
recruiter. At the time of joining you have to present these original reports before the Company Medical
Officer of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., Gurgaon for obtaining the final Medical Fitness Certificate. On the
basis of the scan copies, CMO MSIL will declare you the status of your medical fitness. Once CMO
declares you fit through mail, then only you may proceed to resign from your current company. You
will be charged the payment of Rs. 750/- (for candidates less than 35 yrs), Rs.1500/- (for candidates 35-
40 yrs) & Rs. 3000/- for candidates above 40 yrs. of age at the laboratories for this medical test (you will
be reimbursed only the amount mentioned -- in case access money is asked by the centre coordinator's
name & phone no. mentioned at end of list may be contacted to resolve the issue) . Please retain the
original bill of the medical tests to claim the reimbursement at the time of joining MSIL. FOR
CANDIDATES ABOVE 40 YEARS, PRE-EMPLOYMENT MEDICAL WILL BE DONE ONLY IN GURGAON AFTER
PRIOR APPOINTMENT with CMO MSIL.

Please note that, you shall not be allowed to join the Company unless you meet the minimum standard
of physical fitness. You are therefore, advised in your own interest to satisfy yourself that you are
medically fit in all respect. In case you are suffering from any organic disease, such as Hydrocele,
Hernia, Squint eye, Ambylopia, Irregular heart beats, TB, Diabetes, Color Blindness, Blood Pressure,
any medical condition requiring regular medication/attention etc., you should send a Medical
Certificate clearly stating your case before you resign & proceed to Gurgaon for Final Medical Checkup
& joining. Please also note that your BMI (Body Mass index) should be as per the standard.

The company reserves the right to have you medically examined again immediately after your joining or
at any time during the course of your employment in the Company. For any issues related with Pre-
