Dear Ms Velkey,

I was very happy to hear about the opportunity to apply for the project, since those who participated
in it last year had nothing but good things to say about it.

I believe I am suitable for being in the project team because my communication skills make it easy to
work together even with strangers in English. Being a scout I learnt to solve unexpected situations
quickly , to work together with strangers and create something special. I think I can use and develop
these skills during the project. Besides that, I really like reading and I am also interested in dealing
with literary topics. Furthermore, I have some experience. Once I was lucky enough to participate in a
project where I learnt a lot about the English language and how to work with foreigners. In this
project I hosted a student fom Poland, but now I would like to experience what it is like to spend a
week with a host family abroad.
