MOTIVATION LETTER

Dear Madam/Sir,

With this letter I would like to express my great interest and desire to participate in the volunteering
initiative in Bulgaria.

During my whole life I have had a great desire to surpass myself. I am a really curios person who always
wants to learn something new and use that knowledge and experience in future. Every time when I need
to do any task I am trying to be unique and creative in order to make my work interesting and
memorable.

Now I am mainly working on my English in order to make it better but besides it I have discovered a new
field for me which is marketing and I would like to deepen my knowledge also in this field. Thus, I took
some courses of entrepreneurship in my university and one of the beneficial things was team working
tasks. I have learnt how to work in a group, share my ideas and opinion with others.

I am highly excited about this volunteering opportunity as I find it very engaging and inspiring. Even
though I have had some volunteering experience, this one will be completely new for me. I have always
dreamt about finding myself in a completely different environment, communicating with new people,
and sharing ideas.

I can describe myself as a purposeful and hardworking person. I can easily handle any problem, always
showing my individual approach for solving it. I always try to be involved in any group work with
pleasure and assist my group-mates in showing them possibly the right way of dealing with the given
task.

I have recently participated in different activities and one of them was EYP Sessions organized in
Yerevan. It was an interesting opportunity as we had a lot of debates, team building, and games. This
experience gave me a chance to find like-minded people with whom we later became friends. These
activities made me think about the importance of working in a team and considering everyone’s opinion.

Besides my active involvement in EYP events, I have also had experience as a volunteer at an NGO
Aravot and Toon where I mostly organised various games and events for schoolchildren, I helped them
in doing homework and practicing their English skills.

Due to my strong will to go forward in my career I try to embark on reaching my goals by putting all
efforts despite any barriers. I constantly search for good opportunities to improve my foreign language
skills and for having favourable conditions to become a very active and creative student who strongly
contributes to make the student life more interesting and versatile. Thus, I was involved in a team of
volunteers at SMART CAFFE entrepreneurial center of Vanadzor State University where I assist the local
coordinator of the Erasmus+ Connect Project in coordination activities of the center.

In addition to my versatile student life I am also trying to be active in realization of my hobbies. Since my
childhood, I have been interested in arts. I am fond of drawing, singing, and photographing. Although I
am not a professional in any of these fields, anyway, many people appreciate these skills. Table tennis is
another hobby which I used to engage with actively when I was younger.

To sum up, I am certain that the voluntary experience that I have gained and are still gaining in my home
town and in Yerevan would be a good base to realize myself also in a foreign country which will enrich
my intercultural communication skills and will enhance my abilities to feel a more involved and
motivated citizen. In this global world I find it necessary to be a part of international volunteering team.
Hopefully my aspirations will become a reality.
