You are on page 1of 1

Dear Ella,

It was great to hear from you after all this time. You are all grown up
now and the big decision of where go to university is going to determine
the rest of your life. It is really important to consider your options and to
make a decision.
On the one hand, the first choice that you mentioned is to apply
somewhere near your home so that you shouldn’t have to move. I think
that this is the safest option because you stay close to your family and
you have that safety net if something doesn’t go according to your plan.
Another thing is that you don’t have any living expenses to worry about
so you can focus on studying and not on paying bills. Living at home
also has its minuses such as you have follow rules in order to live with
your parents like curfew and not bringing friends over.
On the other hand, the second choice of studying in a different town or
country, which would mean moving away from home. If you choose this
I think that you will broaden your horizon and you will be more
independent. It’s necessary to learn how to live and deal with life on
your own as soon as possible because otherwise you get accustomed to
someone else taking care of you and your needs.
From what I have said I think it’s pretty clear that I would recommend
studying abroad. You are an independent girl so you will be all right
living away from home. The choice is yours, so good luck.
Kisses,
Nadin
