According to the website itself, Weebly is a website and eCommerce service founded on
the belief that anyone should have the tools to take their business from idea to launch to growth.
Whether you're starting an online business from scratch or taking your in-person
business online, with Weebly, entrepreneurs can build websites that customers love to visit and
shop. Our powerful tools make it easy to build a professional, mobile-optimized site and grow
your business with integrated marketing and advanced analytics. We also help you tackle the
manual hassles of running a successful online store by simplifying shipping, taxes, and

inventory management. Since Weebly is part of Square's commerce offering, Weebly customers
can easily sell in-person. With Weebly and Square, your business is always open.
Weebly was started in 2007 and currently powers millions of businesses on more than
50 million sites around the world. Weebly is based in San Francisco with offices in New York,
Scottsdale, and Toronto. We were acquired by Square in May, 2018.
1.2 FEATURES OF WEEBLY
There are a lot of features in using Weebly. Here are the top features:
1. SEO Features
Weebly has a number of SEO options to assist you in ranking higher in search engines.
You can add meta tags, alt tags, page-specific descriptions, meta descriptions, responsive
designs, and titles, for example, to your pages. Furthermore, its Professional plan and above
provide Google Ads credit to assist you get started with paid advertising.
2. Email Marketing
You may send newsletters, promotional emails, and automated emails to your
subscribers using Weebly's email marketing tool. It also provides a selection of customization

Weebly is a website builder that allows users to construct sophisticated websites

1.3 PROS AND CONS OF WEEBLY
Weebly is a website builder that allows you to create professional websites with no coding
knowledge. It has a drag-and-drop interface, a variety of templates and themes, and an app
center for adding extra features. Some of the advantages and disadvantages of Weebly are:
**Advantages:**
- It has a free plan that lets you create basic websites with a Weebly subdomain.
- It has a simple and easy-to-use editor that lets you customize your site with elements like text,
images, videos, forms, maps, etc.
- It has a mobile app that lets you build and manage your site from your phone or tablet.
- It has an app center that offers hundreds of apps for enhancing your site with features like
eCommerce, marketing, social media, analytics, etc.
- It integrates with Square for online payments and offers various eCommerce tools like
inventory management, shipping rates, coupons, etc.
- It offers bonus extras like SSL security, SEO tools, domain registration, email marketing, etc.
**Disadvantages:**
- It limits your creative freedom and flexibility as you have to work within the predefined
layouts and themes.
- It has limited blogging tools that do not support features like categories, tags, RSS feeds, etc.
- It requires you to edit your images offline as it does not have a built-in image editor.
- It charges extra for phone support and priority email support on some plans.
- It does not work well in some countries where Square is not available or supported.

1 Click on “Publish” when you’re satisfied with your website.
2 Go to the Weebly website at “www.weebly.com”.
3 Decide on the focus of your site - website, blog or store.

Sign up for a Weebly account by filling out the account creation form with your

6 Choose a theme for your site by selecting one from the options below.

2.1 Signing Up
In any website and in a website builder like Weebly, the very first step in creating and
publishing your own URL is signing up. It is when you create your own account and have the
freedom to edit and manipulate your platform. On Weebly, signing up and establishing your
own account is very easy. Here is the step for creating your account:
1) In any search engine (example, Google, Microsoft Edge, etc.), search for or go to
"weebly.com".
2) Hit or click the sign-up button in the upper-right corner.
3) Fill out the required information, like your first name, last name, email, and others.
4) Click or check the box as an agreement to their terms.
5) Click continue.
6) Decide on what website you want—either a business website or a personal website.
7) Choose your desired theme.
2.1 Publishing URL

After creating your account on Weebly, it is now time to publish your own account. This
is important because it does not mean that you have an account on Weebly; you already have a
URL. The publish URL will also let your website run on the different search engines available
today. Follow the steps below to be guided on how you are going to publish your URL.
1) After choosing your theme, you will be directed to the editor page, where you can drag and
drop elements to build your website. You can take this step or skip it.
2) In the upper right, you can see a blue button that says Publish." Click it.
3) In the pop-up menu, type your desired website URL.
4) In the bottom of the menu, you can find "subdomain", Choose one of the available
suggestions that fits your idea. We chose a subdomain because it is free.
5) Your website is now set up and ready to run. It is now your task to manage it. Good luck
with your new venture in website building.

3.3 WEBSITE DESIGNING
In the part of designing it depends on how creative you are and how eager you are to
explore everything in Weebly. Now in adding designs simply use the elements and other medias.
Use the drag and drop mechanism.
Drag and drop is a common way to move, select, or open files by clicking and dragging
your mouse. You can also use drag and drop to transfer data between applications or within an
application using a standard gesture. For example, you can drag and drop an image from a
folder to an email, or drag and drop text from a document to a web browser.
To drag and drop something, you need to do the following steps:
1. Select the item or text that you want to drag by clicking and holding the left mouse
button on it.
2. Move the mouse cursor to the location or application where you want to drop the item
or text, while still holding the left mouse button.
3. Release the left mouse button to drop the item or text at the desired location or
application.
Some applications may have different ways to enable or handle drag and drop, so you
may need to check their specific instructions or settings.
