I. RATIONALE

Education is one important thing a people should have and experienced specially
the children. This means that every child belonged to a community should have
proper education because it is every child’s right. Education is where a success
starts, it helps an individual meet basic job qualification and make them likely to
secure a job in the future. This is how important an Education is, this is how big
its impact to everyone’s lives and future. Therefore, Education should be present
in every community. Even when we are in the present time where education is
free and accessible, there are still numbers of out-of-school youths in the
barangay. Some do not have the means to go to school and buy school supplies
while some chooses to help their parents earning money. This is a serious
situation that needs to be attended.

This project will help aid the problem identified. This will be a project in helping
those children not just to learn and experience education but also to help them
read, write and solve basic math. This will also be a stepping stone for them to
be inspired and know the importance of learning and going to school. This will
enlighten the children about their right to education. This will also promote
volunteerism in the barangay.

II. OBJECTIVES

This project KalyEskwela will be lead by students and teachers who wishes to
volunteer and participate in the said project. In this project, volunteers will be
strolling around the barangay and in the streets to conduct a Kalye – Learning to
the children. Schools Supplies that will be used during the activity is provided.
The target children are those who are in grades 1 – 3 and those who are
supposed to be in the elementary level that are out of school. Towards the end,
the following objectives are set :

1. To teach the students how to write, read, count and do basic math
2. To inspire the children to learn and go to school
3. To promote volunteerism
III. EXPECTED OUTPUTS

During the project, children are able to improve their reading and writing skills.
Children in the barangay are also expected to learn basic math and english. They
are also able to understand the lessons that will be taught and be enlightened
that learning is important and fun. The children are able to enjoy the activities
that will be conducted by the volunteers and are also expected to create a good
relationship with the people involved in the project to promote camaraderie. The
community leaders and citizens are also able to show unity and volunteerism in
making the project’s goal successful.
