RECREATIONAL

ACTIVITIES
-defined as motor activities

performed in water for purposes

that may be utilitarian, competitive,

educational, therapeutic or

recreational.
1. SWIMMING

-Sport/ activity of propelling


oneself through water using
the limb usually for
recreation, sport, exercise or
survival.
2.
SNORKELING
-an activity in which
a person swim using
mask,snorkle and
swimming aids.
3. SURFING
-Refers to the act of riding waves

through board while staying in

upright position
4. SAILING
-is the art of controlling a sailing

ship/ sailboat while being

propelled by winds across a body

of water.
5. SKIM BOARDING
-similar to surfing- you start at the

shore and glidethrough the water surface

until you meet an incoming wave which

your ride back to the beach.


6. Water Rafting
-done on rivers with rapid

movement using an

inflatable raft/boat.

-the boat then rides with


the river's tide in an

exciting and exhilarating

adventure.

7. WATER

AEROBICS

-is the performance of

aerobics exercise in

water
-done most vertically

and without swimming

typically waist deep

water.
ACTIVITY 1

activities that you dream of
doing with family and friends
and discuss the benefits and
importance of the particular
activity/activities that you
choose.

ACTIVITY 2
Modify an aquatic activity you can

do at home with your family. Make

your own version of a bathtub or

swimming pool where you can

completely submerge your body to

be refreshed in a hot days.

Provide picture of your activity

and paste it in short bond paper.
