A. RATIONALE:

The world has been changing into a more digital system where most of the
school information is uploaded online in order to easily consolidate data that are
necessary for school improvement and creating school plans. Important documents
such as school outputs, students’ grades, and school presentations that are
necessary to store, need a secure platform for safekeeping. Many circumstances
have happened from the past where important documents are lost due to typhoons,
fire, and other incidents that make data untraceable. Through online uploads, it
would be easier to access these data. These are just some of many factors to

consider as digitalization affects the educational system in our country. However,

as the learning process evolves through this change, many teachers are having
difficulty adjusting. Some are afraid to try online platforms and or hesitant to try
new applications due to lack of training.
The Bicol Region (Region V) released Memorandum No.137,s. 2022 entitled
“GOOGLE- BCOOL (Boot Camp for Certification and Opportunities for
Organizational Leveraging)” which opens opportunities for teachers to become
GOOGLE CERTIFIED EDUCATOR (LEVEL 1). On this training, SDO Camarines Sur
(first batch) was able to take the required exam as the standard in becoming a
google certified educator and obtained knowledge to become a digital citizen. The
activity is still an ongoing project, training teachers from other divisions from
Region V. Thus, this memorandum supports in spreading the knowledge and skills
to other teachers by letting trained teachers echo the training in their respective
district/schools.
The proponent of this Training- Workshop aims to develop digital citizenship
among teachers and share applications that they can use in order to create a safe
platform for their schools. This will help them create finite access in making
instructions in education which will benefit many students during the teaching and
learning process. Efficiency and accessibility as one of the benefits of learning this
training, will hopefully make teaching easier.
B. OBJECTIVES:
Along with the Project are the following aims and objectives:
1. To develop digital citizenship teachers in San Fernando District;
2. To enhance/develop among teachers the knowledge, skills, and attitudes in
using digital platforms especially in using google workspace;
3. To create google educational Platforms on every school in San Fernando
District.

H. SUSTAINABILITY PLAN:
This project will be used not only this school year but in the next school
years to come, not only in San Fernando District but in other districts as well.
Whether teachers or students become participants in this project, its main goal is
to create digital citizens who are responsible and aware of using digital platforms.
This project will be the first move to create a ripple of change in creating a more
accessible and easier way to acquire learning for the pupils to access. Teachers who
will be part of this project can offer a wider scope of knowledge that will lead
students to their respective talents and interests. Furthermore, these participants
can share their learnings to their school, co-teachers and students.
