Subject: District VIRTUAL learning action cell (DisLAC) for grade 6


Teachers for k-12 basic education curriculum (Information and
communication technology)

1. As the Philippines embraces the implementation of the K-12 curriculum,


educators face many challenges especially in the field of ICT. Among these are
the reduction of instructional time; emphazing the use of spiral approach, and
doing away with the content which are disintegrated and fragmented. These
changes and challenges necessitate by highly trained and highly confident
teachers who are ready to perform their role as facilitator of learning inside the
K-12 classrooms.

2. In this regard, the Bula South District will be conducting a District Virtual LAC
Session on January 8, 2021 to February 5, 2021 using google meet.

3. The said activity aims to:

a. Provide Grade 6 ICT Teachers with a concrete understanding of the different


learning styles, assessment, and teaching plan, and
b. Provide them the opportunities to acquire and demonstrate the cognitive,
affective and skills competencies they need in the effective implementation
of the Grade 6 Curriculum.

4. The expected participants are the school heads, school ICT teachers, and school
ICT coordinator.

5. Complete attendance of all concerned teachers is a must. The District ICT team
through ICT coordinator, Mr. Philip B. Bermal shall be the host of the virtual
training.

6. There shall be no registration fee. Therefore, the internet expenses must be


charged against school MOOE. Other expenses of the said activity shall be from
district ICT budget and solicitation from stakeholders.
7. Each school are expected to prepare their own laptop/computer, Microsoft
application, and internet connectivity.

8. To ensure that the implementation of the activity the Public Schools District
Supervisor and the school Head In-Charge shall conduct consistent monitoring
on the attendance of all participant.

9. Strict compliance of this Memorandum is highly enjoined.
